For a long time we ran four plans: Free, Startup, Business, and Enterprise. That range made sense when our customers were more varied and add-ons like SSO were things only some teams wanted. What we've seen since is that more teams, larger organizations especially, land on Business and Enterprise. So we're consolidating the plans to make Qase easier to choose and grow with.
The new structure comes down to one principle: each plan should have a clear job, and it should be obvious what you get when you outgrow one and move up to the next. Free is for getting started and small teams. Teams is for a working team that runs on Qase day to day. Enterprise is for organizations that need enterprise-grade security, access controls, and support around the product. Things we used to sell on the side, like SSO, are now part of the plan that needs them.
Here's what's changing in each, and why.
Free: a 4th seat, and MCP for everyone
Free is getting a 4th user, up from 3. Every existing Free workspace gets it automatically, no upgrade required.
Qase's MCP server is free to use on every plan, Free included. You don't need to upgrade to connect an AI assistant to your test data.
One smaller change alongside those: we're setting a limit on test results submitted via API, 5,000 a month, across all Free workspaces including existing ones. Almost no one is near that number. If you are, we're reaching out to you directly.
Startup: no longer open to new signups
Startup is retired for new customers. If you're already on Startup, nothing changes: same price, same features, no forced migration. We're not moving anyone off it without warning, and we're not shipping it new features either. If Teams looks like a better fit, reach out and we'll help you move.
Business is now Teams
Business is renamed Teams, and it's priced at $35/user/month billed annually (or $42/month billed monthly), up from $30 and $36. (Like Startup, there's no impact today to Business customers: your plan stays as-is with your current feature set.)
We haven't changed this price in years, and the plan has grown a lot in that time. Costs are rising everywhere, so this is a modest increase that lets us keep investing in the features that help you hold your quality bar: SSO now standard, requirements traceability, QQL, test review, higher test-result API limits, more AI credits, and data retention extended from 1 year to 2.
One note if you're already paying for Business plus SSO: you can move onto the new Teams pricing with the SSO add-on removed. You shouldn't pay twice for something we think should just be standard.
Teams stays fully self-serve: sign up with a card, choose monthly or annual, and you're going. If bringing Qase into your organization means a contract, a security review, or custom terms, that's what Enterprise is there for, whatever your team size. We'd rather point you to the plan that fits how you buy than have you work around one that doesn't.
Enterprise: security, controls, and support built in
Enterprise is where the heavier capabilities live, the ones a large organization needs to run Qase across many teams and get through a security review. We've built it out across a few areas:
- Security: IP restrictions, audit logs, and private attachments, on top of the SSO and SCIM you'd expect.
- Controls important for governance: granular role-based access and multi-workspace SSO, so you keep a clear picture of who can touch what across many teams.
- Service: a named CSM, a signed SLA, and structured onboarding, so there's a real team behind the product when you need one.
- Hosted MCP: a managed MCP server we run and secure for you, so connecting agents to Qase never becomes your team's infra and security problem.
For teams evaluating Enterprise, we're also adding a paid proof of concept: a structured 30-day pilot with success criteria you define up front, hands-on time with our solutions engineers, and the full fee credited toward your contract when you sign. It gives an Enterprise evaluation real structure and support, so both sides can reach a clear decision.

Collaborator seats
Read-only seats are now called collaborator seats, priced at $10/user/month on Teams and Enterprise. The name changes because the role has: it's for everyone who needs to see run history, dashboards, and reports, and comment in context, without needing a full seat to write test cases. If you already have read-only seats, your existing terms don't change.
If you're an existing customer
Startup and Business customers keep their current plan and price unless you decide to move.
The one direct change is the Free plan API limit mentioned above, and we're reaching out individually to the accounts it actually affects.
